just had a webpage try to display a video ad, but for some baffling reason they DRM'd the ad so my browser asked if I wanted to allow playback of DRM'd content and I just said no. amazing design, no notes.

@homeassistant before everyone asks: NO, Echo devices cannot be used as players with it. Playing audio from arbitrary URLs is not possible with Echo. AND YES, Sonos/Symfonisk can.

what kind of issue is this? The wall on one side of my PETG print is strangely plucked… Underextrusion maybe? Someone got a hint for me?

@roofuskit @digga_mies @3dprinting I wouldn't think so. My bet is on shitty, wet PETG that forms clumps, boogers and bumps while printing. Some just do this and there's not much you can do other than trying to dry it.

@roofuskit @digga_mies @3dprinting unless we're talking some crazy multiple-hundreds-mm/s speeds, you should be able to print PETG as fast as you'd print PLA. PLA is less viscous but unless the hotend is garbage with very limited volumetric flow, speeds should be comparable

@digga_mies @roofuskit this looks like wrong pressure advance to me - as it's around the corners. PA tries to print sharp, precise corners by limiting extrusion around them, and this looks its limiting it too much

Reminder: it's very much possible that the Dry mode on your may be enough to cool down the place, while drawing just a fraction of electricity.

It's the humidity that creates the feeling of heat.

Our Daikin split draws just about 1/5 of power and in the summer sucks 20 LITERS of water a day in a 770 sqft (72m2) apartment
