The current calendar makes no sense. Some months have 30 days, others have 31, and then February has its own thing going on.

The calendar should be 10 months of 36 days each, with a month consisting of 6 weeks of 6 days each.

And the 5 days left over (or 6 in a leap year) should be a year-end holiday for hedonistic feasts and orgies.

This would be much more sensible.

If you are gonna nitpick authors about an arbitrary overlap percentage in Crossref reports, then don’t run the report including the affiliations, author list, references, standard disclosures, and mandatory statements in the cover letter (not even part of the manuscript!) all counting toward the overlap.

So annoying. Authors are stuck dealing with manuscripts that obviously do not have problems with text borrowing

Translator for an agency that I have been working with seems to be using some sort of non-MS word processing software. I get the preference for open source stuff, but there is a reason why Word is the standard for this sort of thing...

Whatever they use randomly spits out extra spaces and protected content fields. This breaks the format throughout the document. Initially, I had thought that the client had been protecting certain phrases... but it was not the case.
