I read currently a lot about monster catching/raising games. Next week is Pokemon day with new announcements, we get new Tem Tem content and there is a hype game we probably all have heared from. Monster farming, fight and hunting is not new for jrpg’s. With Pokemon and Dragon Quest, there are two franchises with a long...
at first the game was developed for the ps vita, so they had something like sleep mode already in mind on that plattform. Maybe the switch version is the best possible plattform for that game since the vita version doesn’t get some updates. I played the ps4 versions, so i don’t have the pssibility to trade digimon between the two games for example
I replayed Xenogears last year. While it remains one of my favorites, I was surprised at how much more I enjoyed the infamous Disc 2 this time around. Yes, it’s a condensed version of what we could have had, but there are still some great story beats and really touching scenes in there. Meanwhile, the gameplay throughout the...
Old 2D action RPG’s like Secret and Sword of Mama doesn’t age that properly in my opinion. Or even Star ocean Games have a kind of messed up battle system, but that wasn’t a replay. But i recognised, that older games have more fun momemts, characters doesn’t take themself serious and do a lot emotes to show that charm. But it’s about replaying games, not old games, so usually i replay games that are quite good in my opinion, like Persona 5, Final Fantasy X and some Fire Emblem games. And i’m always surprised how good they really are compared to some mid games i play.
I appreciate remakes of games i haven’t played but usualy i always have the opinion, that new games, new ideas are better than redo something old. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is a quite different game for me than Final Fantasy VII, so i’m fine with that. But the Pokemon remake thing is unessesary for me and i wouldn’t need a Persona 3 remake if i had played the older ones.
There is an about 48Gb big demo out for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. For now, you are able to play the first episode and with an update and 21st february, you are able to play another episode....
That’s true, a dlc would be better than a dedicated version. But what would be a lot better just clarify what they want to do. And again a DLC is not really a evidence, since SMTV had also traces in the data for a ps4 version, that doesn’t exist. But ehh we anyways don’t believe them…

Soon we reach 2024 and i wish you the best for the new year. I think there are some interresting game annoynced for 2024. So what jrpg’s, regardless of old or new, do you plan to play?
Drakengard could be hard. First of all Sony has some rights to Drakengard, so SE needs sony’s ok. And i don’t think the brand is that strong that SE takes the risk. But i’m with you, would like another as well
There is a difference in liking someone and being attracted to someone. If i say someone is my fav char, that doesn’t mean i’m attracted to that char. I just played KH1 and FF7 dirge of cerberus first and kinda liked yuffie in all of those. So she got the char i want to play and like.
