My shoulder is being a complete arse the last three days, and no amount of rest, ice, posture or painkillers is helping.

So attempted to visit the nearest Urgent Care Clinic. That was a fail as they were full the rest of the day until close.

What’s the point of these if they’re too small, and just aren’t staffed to handle enough patients to meaningful reduce P4/5 presentations at the ?

    @decryption @stufromoz I spent 3yrs directly dealing with the insanity of pensioners/their financial advisors who think they’re entitled to more, and don’t think assets like these should impact their pensions despite the law expressly saying otherwise.

    It was always nice when a deserving pensioner could get more because of a mistake or error; but draining having to repeatedly & calmly explain living within your means to someone having $2.5m in assessable property who isn’t entitled to a dime.

    This video, from Reddit and credited to an unnamed German supermarket - wanted to send a message about far right xenophobia, by removing all imported food from their shelves.

    Result: Almost nothing left to buy.

    A 12 second video, claimed to be published by a German supermarket, with shots of all products from outside Germany being taken off the shelves. The video opens with a black screen, with the phrase für vielfalt (for diversity) shown. The video cuts to the inside of a supermarket all the shelves becoming progressively empty as non-German origin products are removed, until barely anything is left to buy. The video closes with a bewildered female customer pushing a shopping cart around looking for things to buy, when there are none.

    I had a bit of a situation in the laundry this morning, when the washing machine drain hose slipped its moorings and flooded the floor.

    That was no big deal but my electronic bathroom scales have not responded well to being properly wet, right at the moment I'm doing my test pack for my flight next week. I have paid for extra carry-on instead of checked baggage so I need to know what it weighs!

    Thankfully the scales fit in the oven (just) so fingers crossed they'll work after drying out

    @kcarruthers As someone who needs to get a second crown this year, that’s kind of cool.

    Now if they could only improve the imaging technology for making crowns, and do away entirely with dental casts, i’d be happy as a clam.

    (tries not to gag remembering the taste of a dental mould last year)

    @kcarruthers Ugh. Because of the shape of my tooth (something about complexity), my dentist went with both imaging and dental moulding paste (twice on the latter due to an air bubble on the first).
