Product review: Lime Mojito in a cask, from Aldi.

I got carded buying this for the first time in many years. This is classy stuff. Not sure I’ve ever actually purchased a cask before?

First sip: is this just lime cordial?

Several gulps later: oh there’s the kick, this is really quite strong isn’t it.

Verdict: goes ok. Pretty tasty. Would be better in a fancy glass with some mint and fruit and shit but I couldn’t be bothered. 3.5/5 🍸🍸🍸, a solid almost-holiday in a cask.

It’s so dark 😓

I almost want to turn the heater on for emotional support. But it’s 19 degrees inside so I will refrain. But it looks cold.

It really doesn’t help that I’ve just returned from 10 days in a tropical island resort. It’s like being plunged into winter all at once.

I just dropped my cat at the cattery for the very first time. I feel like an absolute monster, abandoning my little baby. I know it’s for his own good- I’m going away for 10 days and last time I was away that long he struggled with a friend visiting daily.

But still. And the house feels very empty.
