Hopefully, if someone commits a crime they should be charged, and novel trials may improve justice by setting precedent through transparent jury trial instead of closed doors scotus. If you charge someone without sufficient evidence you should be open to a countersuit. Based on oral arguments it sounds like they are defining where ‘in the line of duty’ ends and ‘actions of some guy who also has a job as president’ begins. Asking for 11,780 votes pretty obviously falls outside of the bounds of the job and it shouldn’t take months to rule on that.

You’re describing something more like civil service than ubi I think. But if I was financially independent without a full time job I would focus on hobbies like music and find some advocacy cause to help support, probably separation of church and state or ai for everyone with easier to build and use models on consumer hardware, there’s a few open source projects out there I’d like to understand better and contribute to if I had more time.

Nothing conclusive I can see yet from AP etc, but it is a bit suspicious the universities and police are not responding/stonewalling requests for information from journalists, if they had no snipers how hard would it be to say there were no snipers?

Also a healthy skepticism isn’t afraid of questioning sources I wouldn’t apologize for it either, but it can also be a rhetorical tactic that sometimes is difficult to tell if it’s genuine or not. Not an excuse just an observation.

This is a similar idea to culture jamming, people would put subversive books in libraries and book stores, change labels on products in supermarkets, etc. It’s not a bad way to draw attention to something people are already accustomed to seeing.

XBX, Kinda bummed there’re a few QoL mods I find it much less enjoyable to play without (weightless junk, smoother leveling curve, bug fixes, etc) I prefer over the upgrade changes. Hoping the mods get updates soon, probably going to give it a month or two then come back. Tried playing new Vegas on XBX but it doesn’t have mods on console, same with 3. I’m more interested in getting back to 4 anyway though since I already beat 3 and NV on PC back in the day but never the 4 main quest yet.

Governments banning social media based on who can use it to spy on who, instead of creating privacy regulations and enforcing them to create and regulate markets, which is kinda what they should do, to make it so it doesn’t matter who owns which app. Taking an opportunity and shitting all over it for some childish standoff should be beneath us.

Selection bias, Self selection bias, reward bias, bias in the questions and how they are presented, etc. You have to really know some stuff to not have a fucked survey result and even then some of those biases will still be present. If they don’t even bother with error % boundaries it’s probably going to have some other problems too.

Begotten is probably the most inaccessible I’ve seen. Least known I used to do some 48-hour film festival we’d watch everyone’s in a local theater at the end and most of those never get a general release so any of those are the least available or seen. Most indies I’ll watch these days are horror or drama movies. One of my favorites is the man from Earth not exactly underground but definitely under most radars.
