A Bash script to rip music off CUE/BIN files (lemmy.ml)

I thought I’d take the opportunity to share a Bash script I made to automate ripping music off CUE/BIN files. It splits BINs into separate files, so it’s 1 file per track, and strips pregap data, encodes audio tracks to FLAC or Ogg Vorbis, and it also generates new CUE sheets....

xmanmonk,

Does Intel still sell the 8080? Because I think they’re code-compatible. Might even be pin-compatible.

xmanmonk,

Welcome. BBOARD is a great resource, and IRC is fun, too!

xmanmonk,

I really enjoyed reading this article. Nice, concise history.

xmanmonk,

Great history!

Any duck duck go alternative that is better in privacy and security ?

I have always liked and used Duck duck go more than google but now i am considering if i should switch because of the shit they pulled with their app and yesterday when i clicked a link it took me directly to their newsletter subsciption page not even like a popup a proper page without any way except manually backing out . So is...

xmanmonk,

Use !w in front of your ddg search to search Wikipedia.

xmanmonk,

I’ve always been fascinated by the lyrics of this song.

(Question) Anyone here with an Adder WS from System76?

I am rocking an Xiaomi Gaming Laptop (i7 9th, GeForce 2060, 32Gb Ram) with PopOS installed since day one. It is working fine (a bit annoyed because there is no way of finding a new battery for replacement), but I was thinking of switching to something more open source and with Linux officially supported....

xmanmonk,

I have a s.76 Gazelle laptop, and it’s been going good for about 4 years now. I rarely use the battery, so it stays plugged in most of the time. It’s been good, and the battery remains charged at 100%.

xmanmonk,

Was gonna upvote, but it’s at 666 and I didn’t want to change that.

xmanmonk,

I’ve noticed that it happens less if I only click on the post title, not the text of the post.

xmanmonk,

As always, thanks to the admins for keeping things up to date!

xmanmonk,

Welcome! I worked a lot with Symbolics machines and sun machines running SunOS and then Solaris. I worked with other LISP machines as well (TI Explorer and Apollo, to name a few).

xmanmonk,

I use it a lot. It's very good at emulating the screen I used on a VT220 for a long time. Has all kinds of effects settings, too.

xmanmonk,

As always, thanks to @SDF for keeping things running smoothly! You guys rock!

xmanmonk,

All Electronics in LA will ship, but they rarely have computer parts.

xmanmonk,

SDF is pretty good about updating software. This lemmy instance is new and a bit experimental for them, so it may take a bit before an upgrade.

xmanmonk,

I've noticed something interesting. My account was created on my laptop. Logging in there is fine. From the phone, with the spell checker on, the phone brings up my username. If I click on it, it enters my username into the username box, BUT WITH AN EXTRA TRAILING SPACE. I'll get an infinite spin if I use it as is, but can log in if I remove the trailing space first.

xmanmonk,

I originally used SDF for the UNIX shell, but have now been using Mastodon for a few years, and now Lemmy. I've also enjoyed listening to AnonRadio.
