I don't drive too much, but I do own a car, a 2012 Hyundai. It's getting old enough now where I have to wait to order parts when they are needed (like replacement brake pads). So now today I'm waiting for them to call me to let me know I can pick up my car at the dealership.

I have a loaner in the meantime. It's strange that all the new cars are getting Tesla-fied. Keys in ignitions are a thing of the past. A computer display on the dash. Mystery buttons that aren't well-labeled everywhere. 😅

I know that weather forecasting is more of an art form than science at times, but I sort of have to believe the models are broken when they continuously forecast a 50% chance of rain three days out that consistently fails to materialize.

We were forecast to have thunderstorms all week this week, or at least a better-than-even chance of them each day this week. So far? One slight drizzle. That was it. The rest of the week doesn't look too good, either.

So, sad news today. #Glimesh, my favored streaming platform over the past couple of years during the pandemic, will be shutting down July 1st. That means that my streaming activities will be moving back to #Twitch while I formalize my long-term plans for my online presence.

I had fun playing Stellaris multiplayer tonight, even if I did get thoroughly stomped tonight (I didn't lose but the only two players who got lower scores at the end of playing six hours was a couple of the AI players).

Uff da.

Anyways, back to my regular lineup of Dwarf Fortress and Factorio, though I may add a few new titles to my repertoire here soon. 😉

Geez, it feels like the first AI generated video just came out like a month ago, and now there are like dozens of them on YouTube already. That's probably an undercount.

As interesting as this is, I get the distinct sort of vibe from this that I felt when Magic Eye first came out. Everyone is jumping on it, and it's really neat, but just like it's LLM counterparts is highly derivative. Once the novelty wears off it will just be another tool that visual artists will use when they need it.

There was no other way to do dynamic inclusions that worked in every browser
