Generalities:
My favorite pastime is learning.
If something is unconventional it's typically better for it.
Music is crucial and experiencing it is mandatory - be it through listening or creating.
Reducing suffering is the best life goal I've come up with.
Can we shut up with the "EEE" shit already?
Meta exist to make a profit, however they’re never going to be able to advertise to most people in the fediverse, who also happen to be some of the most knowledgeable people in some fields. If they accept that they’re never going to be able to advertise to those people, they go for the next best thing: monetising their...
If you could only keep one synthesizer…
Which one? For the sake of theoretical questions …let’s assume you could have any synth…not just what you already own.

VT4J23 - Day 24 - A song, album, or artist with a number in it (beehaw.org)
Over in the vinyl sub at the Bad Place, u/Folk_nurse had been doing a Vinyl Tunes for June thing. When the blackout started, I kept adding to my own list each day, and I’d love to carry on with you all. Below is the calendar, I’ll start a thread each day....
Cnestorial (youtu.be)
The first two Krallice albums were a mess of glorious, beautiful chaos. A lot of the stuff afterwards is good as well, but maybe it was the new project fervor that makes the earlier releases continue to shine for me as perennial points of reverence.
Has anyone here tried Hubzilla?
Another fediverse newbie mucking about. Since joining I've been digging in and learning as I go, trying to determine what best suits how I'd like to interface everything. I am not, however, super well versed in all the ins and outs of this system yet. I'm not the most tech savvy person to be honest....

I'm really enjoying the fediverse so far, but there's one thing which seems a bit inconvenient, and I'm wondering if I'm just doing it wrong....
Unlucky Morpheus - Cadaver / Redavac (youtu.be)
Really digging this band. Fuki is an amazing vocalist, but everyone is extremely talented. Wish they'd have a breakthrough internationally.

Welcome to m/yokai!
I made this magazine as a place to discuss and share Japanese folktales, ghosts, monsters, demons, and so on. There are a few small yokai communities on other social networks, so I thought kbin could use one too.
Ataraxie - Slow Transcending Agony [Death/Doom] (youtu.be)
How do I browse to different magazines I'm subscribed to?
I.e. on Reddit all my subreddit I've subscribed to were displayed along the top of the page. How do I navigate to them on kbin?...
Fediverse but as a game/server?
I'm highly curious if there's a way to use ActivityPub for a game, so servers could all see each other in a novel game? Hmm. Maybe mix in ReadyPlayer.Me or similar for avatars? 🤔
Is this what the internet felt like? (lemmy.world)
I've been exploring the fediverse and subbing and posting all over the damn place. Realizing lemmy can federate with kbin blew my mind. Not to mention the possibility of turning my old laptop into a personal server to host my own instance. Is this what it felt like to discover how the internet worked in the 90s?
Folks who wear button up shirts: do you start buttoning from the top button or the bottom?
I start from the bottom. You can line up the buttons without needing to look in a mirror. I don't understand why anyone would start buttoning from the top. It's just less efficient. Explain your reasoning
OC Shin Godzilla could’ve used more body horror... Like this!
should we be discussing reddit less?
Seems like a good portion of the activity in the communities is reddit oriented. If the goal is leaving/hurting reddit, it seems we should be continuing on like it doesn't exist, instead of continuing to drive interest to the site. Thoughts?
