Microsoft, for the love of the Lord, please just let me remove the trashy "My Feed" from the Widgets Panel, I'm begging you

@guilhermedea I have heard that they are testing a toggle to turn off the MSN New Feed on the Widgets Panel in some internal builds of Windows 11, however I don't know if it will actually ship or not. Though I do know they are planning on letting you drag Widgets onto the Desktop as a new feature for Windows 12 next year.

@guilhermedea I know, the news feed is so annoying, but the real widgets are great and kind of underrated in my opinion.

I do not. I have the normal warranty and an extended protection plan, but that's it. I'm normally pretty careful with my devices, and I'm not a fan of the extra bulk cases add to the phone.

options for a midrange phone replacement

not really into high end smartphones as i don't have a usecase for those. don't need an above average camera, if any at all. currently i am using a motorola edge 20 as my daily workhorse and overall i am not unhappy with it. Yeah, the Google Pixel phones are really nice and aren't too expensive either.

Yeah, I normally just lurk around on social media, but the Fediverse has been different for me. There's just so much excitement and energy around all of this and it's just amazing. I easily just lose hours scrolling through kbin or Mastodon, and not necessarily in a bad way. And also, most of the interactions I have on here feel way more organic than they ever did on more "mainstream" social media sites, and I think that adds to the appeal a lot as well.

I don't know about Pixel devices, but normally for Duos the AT&T variants of the updates come about a week later. I think it has something to do with AT&T certifying the update for devices on their network or something.

I don't know if I'd label myself as all that interesting or not, but I have been wanting to interact with more people on Mastodon more regularly.

  • Interests: Technology (Microsoft especially), Design, working on personal or open-source dev projects, photography (beginner), music, cooking, and a few other random things here and there.
