Researchers found low concentrations of so-called forever chemicals in various "eco-friendly" straws, raising doubts about whether they're an appropriate alternative.
“All the straw manufacturers should take warning and say, ‘Hey, do we use this stuff?’ Because at the moment, they’re not even asking that question,”
That is kind of concerning!
In the real world the biggest villains actually believe that they are good, and they use that belief to justify that everything they do, even bad things, are done in the pursuit of good. They are convinced that they are doing good and that they are pure, good people, and they don't ever feel bad.
Villains aren't like some Joker, or Dr. Evil. They are culty and give themselves a license to control and harm other people.
According to the country’s historical experience, if the Russian state exists in its current form, it will not engage in sincere negotiations, or sign a peace deal in good faith.
Android is struggling to keep its market share in the United States, as Apple continues to take over in the market. But, despite Android as a whole losing ground, Google Pixel phones are becoming a bigger slice of the US market....
I got a Samsung just because I like the phones the best, but otherwise I don't use any of the pre-installed apps that came with it and disabled/installed all of it.
Funny thing, though, apparently the most common definition of the pound used today is the avoirdupois pound, defined exactly as 0.45359237 kg, from wikipedia. So even their own measurement units are defined in the metric system, which I find most amusing.
Think about forestry: There were great RL updates and plugins within days of the forestry update coming out. How will the official client ever match that ability for players to contribute?
Apart from Earth, Venus. Recently starting watching loads of content about Venus, and I just find it so fascinating how despite having 90% the gravity and 95% the radius it is so different to Earth. It makes me really wonder about habitability, and how lucky it is how things are. I almost feel sad that Venus is the way that it is, and that's why it's so interesting.
I'm hoping we find out a lot more about Venus in our lifetimes.
Nice. Yeah, I just got back into OSRS on a brand new ironman after not playing for many years, and all the new updates like farming guild have made farming surprisingly quick to level up.
I have been joking to a couple of friends today who were also redditors that I've been feeling withdrawals from reddit throughout the day. Like I knew I was addicted, I just never thought I was going to have to face the consequences of withdrawals!...
I feel sort of lost, because one of my sources of information is cut off. Besides being able to be a part of that highly-specific community you were looking for, reddit also was very good for finding answers to any random question and avoiding bad google-search articles that are quite often unhelpful.

Which is your favorite planet and why?
I would choose Mars, mostly because of all the plans that we have for it. Imagine having people actually living there, it sounds insane!
Only one more level. Easiest 99 so far.
