INXS
Kick
1987 U.S. pressing

It’s been a looooong time since I’ve listened to THIS.

One of my older sisters was a huge INXS fan in the , and it was through her that I heard not only THIS album, but Listen Like Thieves also.
This has a bunch of hit singles, and is probably their best 80s record, but I grew into a much bigger fan of the albums, particularly Welcome To Wherever You Are, which is their best record PERIOD.
But no denying how great this one is.

It's not like INXS disappeared, but it's odd how little you hear of them compared to how big they were, especially since the music has aged really well.

Lesser known bands that made a small dent in the 80s are still heard all the time.

@billyjoebowers they didn’t disappear, but the thing that made them GREAT did.

That was Michael Hutchence.

You can’t find a new singer by having a televised game show and expect it to be even remotely the same.

Michael was 95% of the magic. That’s an unarguable point. He, and his voice, did shit to people.
They SHOULD have quit immediately after.
After, they just became an average run of the mill pop band.

But the old stuff is still great.
