I solved my own problem! It seems retroarch.cfg became corrupt. Someone made an "app" that can fix it. You copy it into the APPS folder and launch it using RetroArch to replace the config file.

@jezlyn I found a note that said it can happen if you switch too quickly between games, or shut it down while in game / restart it with the reset button and it did not get to finish the autosave.

@rasterweb are you using the ROMs it came with or your own?

@pixelbud Both, but I've removed ROMs and saved data and it appears to be OS related. Stock OS has no issue.

I did find a few other posts online about some flickering issue with GarlicOS.

I'll probably just reinstall GarlicOS (which gives me the opportunity to do a two-card setup now).

@pixelbud I used your guide for the reinstall of GarlicOS and it worked well. Back in business! I loaded up some ROMs and everything seems fine now. So it looks like the OS got slightly hosed somehow. 🤷‍♀️

@rasterweb nice! Going to add that to my notes for future Gary lol. I did read where the SD card that comes bundled with the device tend to corrupt - not saying that’s what happened to you. Definitely will add it to the second brain though. Thanks!

@pixelbud Yeah, I replace the included SD card pretty quickly. I did keep it around in case I needed to boot from it, and I am glad I did. :)
