Do you know why blogs are great?

I was trying to help someone on a mailing list and they posted a link to their blog and I discovered they are a right-wing nutjob anti-vaxer and now I can just give up on helping them with their project which probably would have enabled them to make right-wing propaganda.

So yeah, a great use case for blogs! 😂

@Gargron I don't use Spotify or any streaming music services, I just have a ton of audio files... Last year I just tried to remember the artists that stood out, that I listened to the most, and made my list based on that. 😉

There's an artist I follow on LinkedIn and they just post a kick-ass illustration that shows off their work every few weeks. It's amazing. It's like post after post of bullshit influencer garbage and then "Ohhh, a galactic puddle-jumper!" and then more of the blah, blah, blah garbage.

More artists should just post nothing but their own art on LinkedIn.

I forgot about BlockSCAD, which is a blockly interface to OpenSCAD you can run right in the browser. I tested it years ago when I was going to teach some kids about 3D modeling.

A friend of mine moved away and I had thought they just changed jobs but it turns out they retired. My brain never goes to “oh, that person retired” especially if they’re younger than I am because I’ll probably still be working up until I die. I mean, I’ll probably die at work.

I made this fairly simple parametric file in OpenSCAD for people to see how I do it. I am by no means an expert, but I try to share my knowledge because the only way I've ever learned anything is because others before me shared and I was able to benefit from their knowledge.

I use Gridfinity Rebuilt in OpenSCAD for all my griddy needs. :)

Some people reply because they always want to, even if they maybe shouldn't.

Some people reply because it makes them amused, or feel smarter than someone else, and that's often not a good reason.

One of the reasons I don’t travel often is my cats get too upset. Last time we went out of town they both sat down by our bags (they know the bags mean we’ll be gone for at least one overnight) and cried loudly. We almost didn’t go. 💔

@dramypsyd Oh yes, the cats always jump into the empty suitcase when we start packing. We’ve got two neighbors who care for our cats when we are gone, and we do the same for them. It works out well as the cats get to know everyone.
