The YT app on Apple TV is really testing my patience. Besides the super annoying pause screen that kicks in now, and the screensaver, it resets your place in a list every time (e.g. going through your watch later list, or videos from all your subscriptions). If you play a video, it always resets to the top of the list when you back out to the list. I hate this behavior in any app. ๐Ÿ˜ก

I use the timer on my Apple Watch a lot. I find it frustrating that instead of pressing on the big โ€œdoneโ€ in the middle of the screen to stop the timer after going off, I have to target the small x button in the lower left corner, which because it is very near the rounded edges of the Watchโ€™s screen, is even harder to target. ๐Ÿ˜’ (I just now saw the Done label isnโ€™t even centered in the circle :smh:)

Hello, fountain pen peoples: any recommendations on how to clean out a moldy fountain pen? Perhaps Iโ€™m not searching well enough, but I havenโ€™t found a definitive answer or instructions. I saw a few mentions about using a bleach solution to clean, but no measurements on bleach to water ratio. Supposedly this bleach solution could be used to clean fountain pen parts like the cap also, but Iโ€™m not sure if itโ€™s really okay.

Yesterday I got laid off from Google. Today they announced earnings and are doing great. This company has no reason to tighten its belt other than to enrich shareholders (which are mainly the executives and the board).

YouTube has this new screensaver mode that dropped today for me where it shows a thumbnail of some theme like, โ€œAcrylic Pouring Techniquesโ€ or โ€œNew York City Droneโ€ and UI encouraging you to โ€œpress up to playโ€. Itโ€™s slightly annoying because it now overrides the art screensaver that I set up as my default Apple TV screensaver.

Pressing up plays a video associated with the listed theme. I wonder how much the video creators got paid for this? ๐Ÿค”

@paradoxmo Well, BENU pens are the only Schmidt nibs I have, and they only offer F as the thinnest. And a while back I did a very cursory search for Schmidt EF nibs and couldn't find any. Please do share if you know of a source, as I'd like to try an EF Schmidt on one of my Euphorias!

Saw this quick review by MarcyMe of this yearโ€™s SE Pelikan Edelstein ink, Golden Lapis, seems to be same gold shimmer as in the Golden Beryl but with a blue base color.

@paradoxmo I was reminded when I wrote with one of my currently inked pens that Van Diemans Azure Kingfisher is a similar ink that has some red sheen and looks very cool. The sample I have has been well-behaved in the Nahvalur Voyage thatโ€™s been inked with it for over a month. Iโ€™m planning on buying a bottle of that, so I wonโ€™t need the Golden Lapis. #FountainPens #ink #Pelikan #VanDiemans

@paradoxmo @penfount When I've told friends about liking and using fountain pens, the impression I get is that they think it's fussy or labor-intensive to use them. A post talking through different basic ways to ink and use fountain pens could be beneficial to put curious potential users at ease. At the very basic level, one could just use cartridges. At the next level, they could find an easy-filling pen and inexpensive ink. Etc...

Robert Oster, like Diamine, have so many inks that a lot of them seem the same, but renamed. I watched this Yoseka Stationery video showing off a ton of ink swatches and there were many times I thought, โ€œdidnโ€™t I just see this ink?โ€ ๐Ÿค”

My purple Aeropress is here! I have taken to calling it my "Bora-press", because bora is purple in Korean. It no longer comes with the funnel or the 350 filters+case, but I have those from my old classic Aeropress (which still works fine, by the way, I was just after the pretty) in case I need them.
