Frequently Asked Questions about Artemis...
I've enjoyed using Artemis even though I can't login through it (I'm on kbin). It's been interesting to be a pure lurker instead of an avid commenter like I was on the former site. In the past couple of days, though, Artemis has failed to fetch any new content. Deleting the iOS app and reinstalling through Testflight does...
https://kbin.social/api is a 404, but the API PRs have already been merged...
mbin: https://github.com/MbinOrg/mbin
Kbin (and kbin.social) is slated for a major update this week that is supposed to bring in some improvements as well as the API....
I’m loving Artemis but starting to realize that I’m suffering for not being able to post comments or replies after a month or so of using the app. Is there any sense of when support for more instances is coming?
I'm getting timeouts and bad gateways trying to access artemis.camp preventing me from authenticating on the Artemis app TestFlight beta....
Sorry if this has already been asked, but do we know how moderating will work from Artemis? Has this feature been implemented, and will there be any tools beyond what kbin already has available?...
Microblogs are an interesting thing. I was never able to get into Twitter or Mastodon because it feels so disorganized and chaotic to me. That said, I think microblog compatibility is low key one of Kbin’s best features with a lot of potential. The problem is that right now it seems like kbin doesn’t really know what to do...
I avoid the Google Play store whether possible. It would be great to discover Artemis on the Fdroid community.
Just downloaded the Android beta. When I tried to log in with artemis.camp, it took me to Firefox, where I logged in and pressed authorise, and then I went back to Artemis and it said waiting for browser. Now when I press the artemis.camp button again it brings me to a white screen in Firefox, and still says waiting for browser....
Okay, disclaimer this is just a "not even 5 minutes in" type of thing at this point, but I wanted to start the complaining about a few things already. ;)...
I tried registering on artemis.camp, but my confirmation link expired and there's no way to have it resent. I tried logging in, but it says my account isn't active. When I try to recreate it, it says my email is taken. I tried using the contact form, but no response....
Hi,...
Some more info and the reasoning behind design decisions....
I use kbin.social and readit.buzz. I like kbin better because it loads faster, but it keeps logging me out. Readit never does that, but it’s slower. Is there a way to stop kbin from logging me out all the time?
Overall no problems found yet. This will be rather useful for faster testing, along with tablet UI testing later on.
Or at least make it a toggle. I don’t think this is what the people who wanted a card style view were after, and it’s way more frustrating for people who like a very dense feed.
Pardon me if this should go into @artemisquiver, but it'd be lovely if I could toggle a switch and make any posts I've voted on go away.
Any timeframe for a full screen picture mode for the home page bwrosing? This is the one thing that I really need to use Artemis properly. The compact view mode just doesn’t work for me (not Artemis compact mode in particular, just compact mode in general)
Artemis might use a swipe gesture to visually hint at the relation between upvoting and boosting, as shown in the main animation. Here's a static app mockup with both swipe levels displayed. I'd also imagine that there should be a setting that auto-upvotes posts when boosting.
LET'S GO
Hi there, the Artemis private beta rollout has just started! @hariette will be emailing 50 signup sheet users, while @lilkev will be adding 50 users from Artemis Discord. The order will be based on the submissions to the private beta signup form, as well as general activity within the Artemis community....
Is this project free and open source? If not, will it be in the future? If so, could the source code be publicly released on Github or Gitlab at some point? Finally, do you have plans to support lemmy?
