Brushing up on my and noticing that using the CSS grid system actually makes laying out UI components a lot more doable as a . Don't get me wrong, it's still CSS which means left is south and forward is towards the fifth dimension, but its a bit more predictable than older methods used to be.

@zersiax Yes. And the fairly new dv* units help account for all of those different ways mobile provide headers and footers. Between grid and dv* units, it is stone cold predictable. I can even get away with fixed footers.

@scotth dv* units are new to me, I'll check that out :) I was looking at the fraction unit as well as the template-areas definitions which, particularly if you have a braille display, give a pretty good oveerall view on at least roughly where everything will land
