My home country, the Netherlands, finally made it to the finals of #Eurovision again, only to be disqualified due to the artist supposedly being inappropriate towards a female ESC production crew member after the Thursday semi-final that resulted in an official case at the Swedish authorities. No more details available ATM, except rumours. I wish the EBU had similar strict rules to disqualify countries that behave in inappropriate ways too.

@fedithom Yes, but that isn't related to the disqualification according to the EBU. It was something that happened off-camera after the semi-finals on Thursday.

I agree with the decision regarding inappropriate behaviour, but it feels so disproportionate.
Here's my position. Something happened Thursday after the semi-finals between Joost Klein and a member of the production crew. The EBU immediately reacted and removed Klein from the upcoming rehearsals. On Friday the police received an official complaint and interviewed witnesses. Klein was not allowed to participate in the jury performance. Today the EBU decided to disqualify him. That's all I know and I respect that the EBU has the authority to make the call. It's their event under their rules
