I just realized #MarvelSnap unborked Luke Cage (he costs 3 now but protects all cards again instead of just one location). So I'm back on my Wong Hazmat shit. Just won a game with 1 power in two locations and -5 in a "Least Power wins" location and didn't use Luke Cage at all.
@rivetgeek I was really into it when it launched and still think the core gameplay is pretty great. But then after a few months I dropped it cold because earning super rare cards felt like a scam.
@dawngreeter I have no idea, I don't pay much attention to the frequency 😅 I just think it's fun and occasionally I get a variant or a new card I like.
@dawngreeter I also don't follow the "meta" at all. I power through with the same deck, sometimes with some tweaks, and if I need to for a mission or whatnot switch to a different deck and then go straight back.
@dawngreeter I stopped making my life about games (well, at least mobile and video games) after I stopped playing Ingress. I was way too deep into Ingress. After I stopped playing I felt like Kimmy Schmidt.
@dawngreeter I have really out there stories. Like the guy on other team who wrote a letter to an opposing player's wife complaining about him, in the hopes she'd stop him from playing. Or the guy who went out to the end of a jetty, during a storm, at midnight, to kill a portal. Or the woman who every time someone would kill "her portals" would call security and tried to report people for trespassing.
@rivetgeek This is 100% what I would expect to hear. A friend had a person follow him around the city, in a car, late at night. Park and shine headlights at him when he'd attack portals. (My friend was walking).
@dawngreeter I think the guy who wrote the letter was the worst. He worked for Oracle as a technical sales person (i.e. he'd hit up new clients to try to upsell services) and would work from his car while he played. One time he drove an estimated 110mph down a freeway with his kids in the car to kill a large layered field I had created. The estimate was based on the time and location of his last activity compared to where he took the field down.
