@Chrisblue Not just manager, I was talking general manager. He'd excel at both, but you were telling me about how Harper went to the front office and told them they needed to concentrate on the daycare and farm system. That's a GM's bread and butter right there.

The palette of the city connect uniforms isn't bad, and I like the hat and the skyline, but the typography just turns them into a shitshow. At best it looks like someone tried to make a font based on the BONER 4EVER graffiti on the Beury building, out of masking tape.
@stumblewyk@baseball I didn't see the game in question, but agree anyway. Missed ball strike calls and makeup calls happen regularly because it is hard for humans to ump. Let technology do it.
@Chrisblue It was easy to think that when Hoskins was beating up on the Mets at the same time the Phils were getting pasted by Atlanta, but the article makes some good points, several more than my "Hoskins really only played first base and we can't carry two" note.
