@stephanie from the authoritarian xenophobic government that gave its police dedicated to harassing minorities the power to search and seize without a warrant or judicial oversight and then tried to gaslight its people into believing they didn’t even though it’s right in the black and white text of the law.
@stephanie I have a problem with any law written to restrict anyone’s rights on the false premise that French is in decline.
Quebec is going to have massive problem when the courts inevitably rule to confirm that, and they’re already in the process of taking submissions of data. The nationalists have none.
I've been so disgusted by the language police and the English restrictions for years. I'm about ready to say "If Quebecers cannot obtain government services in English on demand, then the federal government won't offer them in French either".
I was born in Quebec, and I probably couldn't get an English "permit".
