So I'm in favor of spurring conversation about how mods are unpaid workers, and this is presented to you instead of pay. Group up with other mods for a class action lawsuit and use that picture as a group chat icon.
Yearly a collection of mods are invited to join the mod summit, a series of livestream sessions and Discord discussions that are supposed to collect feedback, tell mods about new features, offer Q&A sessions and so on. At the end, mods can register for receiving gifts and merch. Last year's set included the mug, a large blanket, a few metal pins, and a few stickers.
Lol I can see there thought process at play. _Give them a coffee mug as a sign of thanks and maybe they’ll put coffee in it and work even harder for us_
Seems like a narcissistic (and incredibly cheap) gesture.
There are quite a few sites that'll make you custom mugs. I've used Zazzle in the past and they were ok. Not especially good, not especially bad, just ok.
