Yes, Google sees search getting better and SEOs see it getting worse.

That's because Google treats SEOs differently from the rest of the world.

So yes, many of you don't suspect that we're just user personas that Google is serving the SERPs we deserve.

Google is teaching us all a lesson by trying to demonstrate how searchers feel when they visit our shitty SEO-first sites.

@MikeBlazer I also feel super weird when some SEOs and publishers literally feel entitled that they should be ranked #1 or something. Like just because you have a website, or you're posting content, doesn't mean Google has something to do with it

Well.... You really should for your brand! I think that is a fair entitlement. Perhaps not globally but certainly where you have it as a registered mark.

And that is just the brand on its own as a search term - not coupled with anything else such as 'Packted reviews' for example.

@simoncox @MikeBlazer I totally agree with you on this. My point was more from the perspective that website owners expect traffic from writing low quality spammy sort of posts
