I already said this in the retrospective thread but I genuinely think Kamiyu had probably her best match yet, here. Props to the camera team for really underlining her struggle against Yamashita, making her intensity and her dedication shine through with her facial expressions and especially in the post match shot showing her emotional state after her defeat.
She’s not perfect yet, but she’s clearly improved a lot and you can tell they wanted to give her a space to truly show to what extent she’s grown so far.
Also kinda funny and endearing just how stiff and clearly agitated she was during her entrance, that deep breath when they got that closeup of her face as the streamers were flying into the ring especially really showed she knew this was a big deal.
