@charliejane See, I understand all the arguments, but it just doesn't connect with me so much.

Mostly it's because it takes the technobabble thing a step too far. It seems to have replaced semi-plausible SciFi ideas with pure handwavium.

And while in principle that's fine, any show can do as it pleases, it constantly tears me out of my suspense of disbelief.

I like everything you write about... but this destroys it for me. It kinda makes me sad, actually, because I'd like to like it more.

@charliejane long-term I think it’ll be my favorite, for all these reasons. Right now, what I need is Lower Decks.
