Finally, we can expect Ukraine to be able to hit Russia on an equal footing, not outgunned 5-to-1 and banned from hitting the actual supplies far outside Ukrainian borders.
That’s going to change a lot of things.

@gimulnautti it is not "aid to Ukraine" it is the US government transfering billions from US taxes to US military industry!!! Meanwhile the number of homeless, people dying without access to medical care and school defeat is horrendous!!! "The biggest democracy on earth" is a horrible lie!
@ruikubla Most of the money goes back to US economy, that’s how they passed it. Industrial production is where weapons come from, basically.
I am really sympathetic to your words, because the US has world-famously bad social policies.
But, I would encourage to think whether this money really is subtracted from social policies? My country has extensive social policy, yet we spend as large % of our GDP on the military, and send lots of aid to Ukraine.
@gimulnautti while US society is imploding they present war as the only solution to the conflict in Ukraine!!! Meanwhile zelensky is losing the support of the civil society and military personnel!!! It is obvious this is the US "colonizing" Europe politics and destroying all diplomatic solutions, waving the flags of war and presenting themselves as the "saviors". This war only benefits US imperialist interests. The money they spent on dead industry is the money they won't use to social justice.

Like I’ve said, they have geared up their whole society into an ”apocalyptic” war against the west. It’s a new cold war, already is for them.
Most people in the US haven’t woken up to that yet.

And those 80% are "victims" of the "putin" propaganda, but the remaining 15% think that this is evil versus good, and the "good" are leaded by the guys that invaded Iraq, killed over one million people, and used a lie, wmd, just to steal oil and gold, the good that support Netanyahu and the genocide in Gaza, that deployed 2 nuclear bombs over women and children, etc...

Mine are former and current military analysts of the the Finnish armed forces, journalists who actually speak Russian and spent considerable time there before the 2022 invasion started, resources in Estonia who have half-a century of experience dealing with KGB.

@chessert But obviously, as the biggest newspaper in Finland stated today, interviewing military scholar Ilmari Käihkö, this fills the gap of what is needed for European countries to step up and take over.
Ukraine can now fight, but Europe will have to clean up the rest. And if we don’t we’ll just be sitting ducks for Russia’s revenge after they stock back up.
