#KnowNothing#CardiB is too stupid to realize that NOT voting for #Biden is a vote FOR #Trump, and that her boycott of #Election2024 could be her last — She might not get another opportunity to vote EVER.
#Russia is now at peak #military-industrial capacity, practically zero unemployment, pay hikes because not enough labour force to man the weapons factories. 35% of government spending go to military. 7.1% of GDP. All of it to go up in smoke in #Ukraine
However, if we look at the numbers, this output only matches current EU military spending. Countries which are on avg spending less than 2% on it currently.
Tell me again how Ukraine supported only by Europe can’t possibly win?
@fnord99 There there my little #vatnik, RU has a history of failing economically when it puts all it’s efforts on weapon production, and that can happen now.
It’s not false RU currently has headway in production, but their military gains even with 5 times advantage have been meager.
The west needs to help Ukraine weather the storm of this summer & winter and keep ramping up production.
Europe does not want an imperial Russia. We will fight it, with or without you.
Aid bill for Ukraine finally passes, with the all-important 155mm cannon shells & long-range weapons & continuation plan. Because this will take a while.
Finally, we can expect Ukraine to be able to hit Russia on an equal footing, not outgunned 5-to-1 and banned from hitting the actual supplies far outside Ukrainian borders.
That’s going to change a lot of things.
Slava Ukraïni!
This happens every day now: New accounts are created to spread propaganda about the Ukraine war.
I block them, and the next day, more accounts show up in my notifications with the same trivial replies "Ukraine is bad", “We should not fund Ukraine", "Zelenskyy is a nazi”, …
I suspect the accounts are computer generated, as the contents posted to them is generic photos with no text.
Oh, look who’s escalating the war again!? Sorry, it was Putin again, not the West!🤷♂️
Iran confirmed sending 400 heavy ballistic missiles to Russia to deploy in #ukraine
But stupid Trump is under the spell of #vatnik influencers telling US should have nothing to do with it, and the #vatniks of the left are simultaneously telling it was all USA’s fault to begin with.
Here is the van I helped donate to Ukraine in February this year. It helped in transporting drones and other necessary equipment in the Bakhmut region.
I chose to write my message i cyrillic, to emphasise the resistance comes from inside what Russia claims is theirs.
This says: Tšuhna Brothers.
Tšuhna is a racist slur for Finns & Estonians in Russian.
The single most important factor outside of Ukraine’s control determining outcomes in the third year of war will be Western - and specifically American - military support. No single country or combination of countries can match the United States’ security assistance. Currently, American security aid is frozen in a political battle over congressionally appropriated funds.
@hanse_mina Very good article. I’m pretty sure Putin gambled heavily on the US presidential election year as a core part of his strategy. The #vatnik strategy if I may be blunt. 😏
A bipartisan group of eight House lawmakers unveiled a $66.3 billion proposal to fund military aid for Ukraine ($47.7b), Israel and Taiwan. It removes tens of billions of dollars in humanitarian and economic aid for Ukraine and Gaza while not touching the military portion. It also includes provisions for border restrictions. https://www.politico.com/live-updates/2024/02/16/congress/inside-military-aid-border-alternative-00141936

#Pentagon deputy spokesman Sabrina Singh said the likely shutdown — a temporary suspension of the US federal authorities — will also affect the training program of Ukrainian pilots and service personnel on F-16 fighters.
According to a Pentagon representative, “the shutdown is the worst scenario that may come for the Ministry” in terms of training Ukrainians on fighter jets.
It seems one of the smartest people I know in physics, Eric Weinstein, has joined the fold of ”Russia was provoked into attacking Ukraine by countries joining NATO”.
This common fold, where Americans project their own world view on East Europe without any regard to the horrors it has faced while ”protected” by Russia.
That such smart people still don’t call themselves not knowing about the issue enough to comment truly is zeitgeist.
