What makes a look alternative?: Just ask yourself, do you see the day to day average person wearing this? No? Does it catch your eye for being different? Yes? Then it is likely alternative fashion! This category is massive. read my post about this here

*Note: In the context of fashion, the term 'goth' has evolved and may not necessarily reflect the goth subculture (a goth is anyone who listens to goth music). To respect real goths, I prefer using 'alt' instead. I reserve the term 'goth' for clarity to the average person.
