I wonder if cats even have a feline equivalent to the human concept of gender. Determining a cat’s sex would be much more straightforward. The article conflates the two terms.
Humans would be so much better off if we just did the same thing to yourselves as we do with cats. Not “Oh, this female cat does a tail-shake as if marking things, which is male behaviour”, but more “Oh, this cat just likes to shake its tail”.
