I just did a 50% water change just to see if it seems to slow things down and potentially bring the pH back to normal. The clerk said most people have had bad luck with RRFs except one customer. Now I’m starting to wonder if I’m gonna join the ranks of those who have killed them. Small tank, 4.2 gal/ ~16L

My local aquatic centre (Bert and Ernies in Stockport) was shutting down, only found out when I went in, I only wanted some plants as I want to get into planted tanks. Turns out they were selling everything and only had tanks left, I got there just after someone had bought the lot. But I was able to get this 60L for £5.

I dont own the tank anymore since I moved houses but I used to love this one :)

First of all I want to thank you guys for helping me identify my eel. I haven’t felt this kind of help in a small community anywhere else....

It looks kind of like a ropefish/reedfish but it’s not as long.

Because redecorating a 10g fish tank with fake plants is cheaper than redecorating my apartment. It ended up more open on top than I wanted but my betta boi still has his floating log to hide in. Gonna go blow all my money on more aquarium decor to alter it during next week’s water change.

He climbs to the top of the glass, spreads himself out, and floats around upside-down on the surface. A tetra bumped him, and he curled up and sank to the bottom, so he definitely wasn’t stuck up there. The second he hit the substrate he went right back to the glass and did it again....

Hey all! I wanted to share my first tank with you all. Today is 5 days in so still really new. Plants seem to be acclimating well (especially the tiger lotus)...

Not the best picture possible, but i believe i have total 2 male Red Gold’s and one female, with the female being pictured here. I purchased a separation net, just in case and shes doing fine....

I have a new tank that is low to the ground and my siphon doesn’t produce good flow for water changes....

I have a bare bottom quarantine tank that is very low to the ground and doesn’t produce a good siphon for water changes or vacuuming detritus....

Maybe I’m just a dirty tree-hugging hippie, but captive bred is better.

This is the 3rd betta I’ve had and he’s just not food motivated like every other betta I’ve seen. We’ve tried pellets, flakes, and assorted freeze dried shit and he’ll still mostly ignore it until it sinks to the bottom, and then maybe he’ll nibble it. Bruh you are not a catfish or pleco, wtf. He’s a “samurai”...

I’ve got a community of white-tail acei, mixed peacocks (mostly dragon/strawberry and o.b.), and yellow labs. The acei and labs are running families, and the peacocks seem to be trying. (I didn’t heed the all-male recommendation. I hoped I could give a more natural environment.)...
