Here's the latest variant picture for Australia.

As of late December, BA.2.86.* "Pirola" (62%) was dominant - led by the JN.1 sub-variant.

EG.5.* "Eris" (30%) was in sharp decline.

The growth of BA.2.86.* accelerated from late November onwards, in a now-familiar pattern.
