Note: The ater syrup can be made with orange blossom water or rose water but we use rose water for a unique flavor. The recipe says to butter every-other layer of phyllo but we find that it slips around if we don't put at least a little butter in each layer. Lastly- we use only pistachio.

executive-of-dysfunction, We went to a diner in Texas earlier this week, and baklava was an option as a pancake filling. We ordered it but got the baklava left on the side, so we had a small bowl of chopped pastry. It was some of the best baklava I've ever had.
