@CoachMark Indeed it does. I worked for the Rome Braves, now the Rome Emperors, back in 2008 and that was a super fun time as I got to hang out with Freddie Freeman and Jason Heyward pretty much every night. I also got to see John Smoltz and a couple of other MLB stars play there.
@cliffwade@Bianca When I was a kid I was a member of the Knot Hole Gang for the hometown Rochester Red Wings. We used to go to a lot of games at the old Silver Stadium. I got to see Cal Ripken up close and personal many times before he got called up to the Show.

I love minor league baseball. It feels like it has a different energy than the big leagues. Like the guys still have a bit of that “love of the game” spark still left in them.
We used to have a semi-pro team in the area, which felt very minor league-ish… The Sugar Land Skeeters. Loved it. We even bought a mini season tix package a couple of seasons.
It got bought and is now a farm team for the Astros. Mascot is the Space Cowboys. Very unfortunate.
Our new adopted team is from my wife’s hometown of Amarillo… Go #SodPoodles! We were able to catch a game when she was at a biz conference in Corpus Cristi last year. Fun times. Sod Poodles won!
@WrenArcher I've been to many Sugarland Skeeters games as I used to live in Houston for 30+ years and worked in Sugarland for several years as I opened up the Lowe's store there many years ago.

Well how neat is that. Such a fun little ball park right? Pretty much not a bad seat in the house. Haven’t been since it became the home to the Space Cowboys though.
We might have a chance to catch The Sod Poodles a couple of times this year though. Really hope we can. Maybe in Fort Worth as she has a conference there when they’ll be in town. And we might visit her brother in San Antone when the team is there to play The Missions.
@WrenArcher Very cool indeed. I actually didn't know they had rebranded to the Space Cowboys. Cool name, but the Skeeters were a much better name in my opinion.
I think my co-admin, @beardedtechguy is a Sod Poodles fan as he lives close by their stadium.
A little history of my hometown team. I am not a big fan of their current look, but maybe that's just me being sentimental for the uniform and logos they used when I was a kid.
