@skaeth@bookstodon I do tend to feel guilty not finishing a book and have never quite been able to shake that. I’m one of those stubborn masochists who will grind through just to finish it even if I’m not into it, it’s weird. It’s like getting to the end is the goal, I know it’s silly.
I exit early over unlikeable characters that are not funny or otherwise mitigated by the plot, animal abuse, and anything that’s affected and “edgy” (usually violence) I tend to bail.
