User comments are visible only to designated government staff and to the user who posted the comment. A summary of website responses will be analyzed, summarized, and forwarded to government decision makers for consideration.

So nobody can see anyone else’s comment, so there is no actual discussion. Then they’ll “summarize” the responses … Which means what, exactly? Who gets to decide what makes the cut and what doesn’t? What are the criteria for getting your comment seen by the “decision makers”?

Furthermore you can’t comment at all unless you have a BCeID, but if you already have the wrong kind of BCeID then you need to sign up for a second account!

It looks like they’re trying to limit the responses they get, and there doesn’t seem to be any guarantee that the actual public opinion will even be presented to the “decision makers”.

You want more compassion for animals, then get rid of factory farming, hunting is the most humane and compassionate for the animals if you’re going to eat meat.
