The spawn might be bugged, try opening and closing the door to see if it respawns. If that doesn't help, reset your checkpoint by going to sleep and then open a can of cat food in the kitchen
Two things both different levels of scary but also may be nothing. One it might be a draft behind your wall there if they also just stare at the wall for long periods of time. Two it may be a nervous system problem. Again not trying to worry you, just wanted to make sure you knew!
Many years ago I had a very strange cat. One night when I got home he ran up to me with some small animal in his mouth. I was dreading having to deal with some poor dead animal he was trying to give me, but when he got closer I realized whatever he has wasn’t dead yet… It turned out he had very gently picked up a baby bunny rabbit by the scruff and carefully brought it to me completely unharmed lol
I picked up the cat and shooed the bunny away. It was perfectly fine.
