It’s a Hamilton Beach “The Scoop” single serve coffeemaker! I wanted the stop using instant but getting a normal coffeemaker would result in me throwing most of it out since I only have one cup of coffee a day and only in the morning!...
Moved from a Rhinowares to a 2021 Timemore C2, stumbled out to breakfast and used the same clicks without thinking.
Please help! I have all the fancy espresso tools and a nice grinder, but I have no idea why I don’t get an even flow out of my machine. I have a Niche grinder, I use a WDT tool to distribute the grounds, I use the Normcore distributor, and a normal dose tamper. I replaced the shower screen on my espresso machine with the VST...
The nice thing I just learned about the Sette 30 ( which I just received as a Christmas gift) is that you can upgrade it to the micro-adjustment ring from the Sette 270/270wi model, and it’s a direct replacement. This allows adjusting the grind between the “steps” on the adjustment ring....
My wife gifted me a Baratza Sette 30 grinder this Christmas, after last year’s first espresso machine, the Gaggia Classic Pro. Using the 'ol reliable Virtuoso for grinding was ok, and I could pull decent shots from the Gaggia, but the Sette 30 makes it so much easier. I love being able to put 18.5g of beans into the grinder,...
I usually brew 2-3 cups of coffee in the morning in the Moccamaster. Sometimes around midday I’ll make a single cup of decaf in my v60....
Tinker’s coffee is making yet another appearance. It seems every time I start thinking, “I should order some more coffee.” I’m getting a text from them informing me they just got a new coffee in. So I’m still happily stuck on the Tinker treadmill. As always I prepared my coffee in French Press using the James Hoffmann...
The postman delivered a new to me DF83 Gen 1 with SSP HU burrs. Just had fun dialing it in over lunch for espresso. It is a huge step up from the Niche Zero it replaces for espresso.
I’ve been trying out a few palm tampers was pretty disappointed at the current offerings....
Profitec pro 500 PID paired with an ECM S-Automatik 64....
Anybody else with a Bambino Plus experiencing this?...
I used James Hoffmann’s French press technique. So this is a full sized bag because they had a good sale on it and I decided to risk it for the biscuit....
Small coffee shop in Alba, Italy
Another batch of Tinker coffee. I think this leaves me having tried all their current offerings so I’ll need to decide if I want to look elsewhere to keep my sampling going (looks over at S&W Craft Roasting) or actually commit to a full bag. I got asked last time so I’ll state it up front that I’m just using James...
V60, OE Lido ET grinder, and the beans were Sugar Shack blend from Vivid coffee
Happy International Coffee Day, everyone!
Maybe just my “traditional”, but tbh I never enjoy the “alternative” post-harvest methods (i.e. honey, carbonated, etc). My heart will always to the traditional full- or semi-washed beans.
Can say that it was very fun and tasty =) One of them tasted like tomato soup…honestly...
This is the 800ml server from Hario. I make 600g water / 30-35g coffee in it every morning....
I swapped out the momentary switch for a standard on/off switch from Amazon for my Eureka Mignon Filtro grinder....
Found this moka pot at a friend’s relative’s house, they said it’s been in their family for a bit over a decade. It just broke about a week ago, but it seems like it means a lot to them. Unfortunately they’re a little too old to check out how to get it fixed, so I’m thinking of doing it for them in the near future just...
So I actually waited to try them before sharing this time. I’m probably being primed by the tasting notes on the package as I’m not doing blind tastings of anything but my quick thoughts:...
