LodeMike, Literally every single time I see a post from this communiy I need to check if I’m high or something.
RebekahWSD, I should become high, I really like Heathcliff and the comics without him even more when high. Thanks for the idea!
LodeMike, Sure thing
FauxPseudo, What are the results of that check?
LodeMike, Almost always no.
FauxPseudo, Is that “almost always” the result of being a responsible adult, a lack of funds, or just a general desire for any escape from the dystopian nightmare that you live in?
LodeMike, First and third.
zkfcfbzr, What’s the joke in this one?
ZapBeebz_, My first thought was NFTs…
FauxPseudo, The garbage ape is a classic Heathcliff character. He comes in and raises a ruckus with the trash cans. Everyone loves him. He has a huge fan base amongst the characters in Heathcliff and the viewing audience because of his pure absurdity.
As originally intended there is no joke. This is just a feel-good Heathcliff comic for old-time fans. It’s pure nostalgia.
There is a sub joke here after the edit in that the blue cat is getting smashed by the trash can for some slapstick humor. That’s why the other two cats are doing a thumbs up with one arm, but blue cat has his other arm fully extended from the brutal blow of the trash can. I can’t see it but I hope he’s wearing a helmet. Because otherwise he’s in for some trouble.
ObviouslyNotBanana,
