For those who have never made this commute, there is about a mile worth of backup in the right lanes going from the 101 South to the 405 South every morning; most people head to the right lanes and dutifully plod through this intersection (it's a good 30+ minute delay there if you go at rush hour). Except the people who try to skip the congestion and cut over at the VERY LAST MINUTE in front of everyone else. To be fair, it wasn't just the Tesla and Rivian, it was a bunch of Mercedes, more than one Toyota Prius, a rental car or two, and a couple of pickups too this morning. A mix of "WHAT THE HECK IS THIS" (from the rental car/visitors) to "MOVE OVER PEONS" from some of the expensive cars.

This is the major difference between Texas & Iowa drivers.
Iowa drivers won't let them cut in, you are expected to find an alternative route as you failed to get in queue for your exit. (And they will start honking if you try).
Texas drivers come in two types: those that cut across 4 lanes of traffic less than 100 feet from the exit in front of those waiting in queue & the drivers who are waiting patiently to exit who let 3-4 cars cut in front of them before proceeding into the exit.😬
@HayiWena@meganL Well, everyone else zipper merged about 1/2 mile back, LOL, very politely. These folks are the ones who didn't want to do the polite zipper merge.
