@chad There is some plasticine-like foam you can put onto the exposed joints to prevent condensation and rust. Not sure what it is called but it si a foam/rubber that remains flexible. Or you can concuct some foam housing over them. For an air conditioner, it doesn't matter much, but for heat pump, the returning fluid would be at room temperature after having dumped its heat in house and you don't want fluid to lose that heat on way to evaporator (warm fluid will evaporate more easily).

@jfmezei Yeah I've still got some tidying up to do yet. The drain line wasn't sloped enough from the inside unit to the outside so I'll have to figure out a solution there, filling the hole into the shop, and tidying up some insulation. The kit came with a putty but I might use another product.
