Diplomjodler, in Prominent German leftist to launch a new party that could eat into far-right's support

Calling her a leftist is a huge stretch at this point. But it was never about any political positions for her. The only thing this person stands for is herself.

CitizenKong,

I mean the new party is in her name, it’s pretty transparent.

“By now you know what became of Swampy: He was found dead a few weeks ago with a gunshot wound to his right temple, “apparently” self-inflicted, on what was meant to be the third day of a three-day deposition in his whistleblower case against his former employer; his amended complaint, which his lawyer released last week, is the basis for much of this story.

It is worth noting here that Swampy’s former co-workers universally refuse to believe that their old colleague killed himself. One former co-worker who was terrified of speaking publicly went out of their way to tell me that they weren’t suicidal. “If I show up dead anytime soon, even if it’s a car accident or something, I’m a safe driver, please be on the lookout for foul play.””

nick,

Yeah. Turns out the data killed itself next week with two to the back of the head. Another sad suicide!

I agree, but as an American, I didn’t really pay too close attention to that issue.

So it would be nice to see whoever visited from Australia given a proper look into as well.

While Arabs have gotten these cunts to scream "genocide" for the last 70 yeasrs, the "Palestinain" headcount has increased a hundred fold. That word doesn't mean how they're using it, is inappropriate to use in this context at all, in any way, whatsoever.

They don't help Arabs when you do this, They certainly don't help Jews, They only assist the Muslim Terrorists, but it makes no difference at all to Israel, it's got Jews to defend, and defend Jews they will.

Amoxtli, in Antisemitic Propaganda and Disinformation in Putin’s War Against Democracies

No offense, but this sounds like Israel Lobby propaganda. Not credible. You would think that the Israel Lobby controlling and influencing US foreign policy a conspiracy theory, only to realize it is fact.

We also rate them High for factual reporting due to proper sourcing and a clean fact-check record. (D. Van Zandt 7/10/2016) Updated (10/18/2022)

Amoxtli,

Almost all Western media is propaganda because omission is in fact propaganda. That Russia accused Israel of colluding with ISIS in the Crocus attack is news to me. This is the first time seeing this. I thought Putin accused the United States and even Ukraine. The US has a verified history of supplying jihadist against enemies. Woodrow International Center is no exception. I already spotted propaganda in the few minutes of peering into the content. The strategy of propaganda is to convince people of truth by the method of telling no lie, but at the same time leaving out damning truths. Sorry, but your bot website does not remotely convince me. That website is not all that “factual”. It is very opinionated and one-sided.

fukhueson, (edited )

Interesting opinion. Not the first time I heard of it (to be clear, Russia wasn’t accusing, it was social media users and Dugin). If you’re concerned with mbfc, this may not be the sub for you.

gnet-research.org/…/moscow-attack-the-popularisat…

In the immediate aftermath of the 22 March attack on Moscow’s Crocus City Hall, social media was replete with misinformation, including conspiracy theories surrounding the affiliations of the perpetrators. Despite the terror cell Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) claiming responsibility for the mass shooting in a statement made to their Telegram and multimedia news outlet Amaq, users on 4chan and Instagram pointed to alternative culprits. In comments left on social media posts, users allude to fringe conspiracy theories popularised on 4chan, which posit that the United States and Israel are the real perpetrators of the attack, using the Islamic State as a shadowy force to carry out an orchestrated geopolitical agenda under the guise of terrorism. The idea that the CIA and Mossad either collaborated with ISKP or provided material support to the group spread from 4chan’s ‘politically incorrect’ (‘/pol/) community to mainstream social media platforms, making the pervasiveness of far-right misinformation visible to millions.

This Insight will show how social media users have made conspiratorial claims about the role of Israel and the United States in the violent attack at Crocus City Hall that killed more than 130 people.

Amoxtli,

There are American anti-Zionist, they are even Jewish anti-Zionist, and there are conspiracy theorists of all nationalities. What Russian citizens post on social media is not always going to be the stance of the Kremlin. This article you posted is an anti-Russian, pro-Israel Lobby propaganda; knocking out 2 birds with one stone? It has absolutely no credibility.

fukhueson,

You could try providing high reliability sources that show something in the article is propaganda. Otherwise I think you just don’t like the article for personal reasons. And I really am losing your point about who was accusing who of the crocus attack.

Amoxtli, (edited )

It is a disingenuous website. Another propaganda website is the Bush Foundation. This is how the Bush Foundation operates: everybody in the world wants freedom and democracy, so we’re going to give it to them with freedom bombs, and everybody will live happily ever after, because they have democracy, and they have freedom. Western think tanks justify US foreign policy. Western think tanks recommended that Ukraine join NATO before the Russian invasion. What for? What does the US want in Ukraine? Democracy? They already had democracy and apparently, in 2014, they didn’t like it. Not to mention, Ukraine is bounded by internationally recognized treaty to be neutral as a prerequisite for independence. The “think tank” thought a great idea to get Ukraine into NATO for the purpose of provoking a Russian invasion. That is exactly the point of this whole exercise. Listen, I read different perspectives, I know phony information and ulterior information; they are fundamentally disinformation, and misinformation. Another thing that might surprise you, democratic states create far more lies than autocracies, because for a democracy to control the people, and not actually represent them, they have to lie. Democratic government produce their own conforming elites who don’t fully represent the people. An autocracy does not need to lie to you, because it can do what it wants. Western news media is a joke. They totally create narratives for the foreign policy establishment. Why? Because they are loyal to their party, of course, but “free market” news media does not need to tell the truth to generate revenue or news.

Look, if we’re gonna live in the pretend fantasy land where Israel will stop at anything less than the complete extermination of the Palestinian people, couldn’t we at least wish for something better than a brief pause?

some_guy, in Why Israel Should Declare a Unilateral Cease-Fire in Gaza

Haven’t read the article, I admit. But I’ll posit my answer: Because genocide is wrong.

sazey, in Why Israel Should Declare a Unilateral Cease-Fire in Gaza

The levels of delusion are off the scale. Why in the hell would Hamas agree to a 6 week pause in bloodshed, only to give up their trump card and then have Israel continue unabated. What world are these people living in?

fukhueson,

That is not really what this article is about, this is discussing creating conditions that could change dynamics in the region, and why strategically this would be beneficial. It cites the current hostage negotiation deal that is in the works but that is not exactly the focus.

There is some hope that negotiations in Egypt on a hostage deal between Israel and Hamas will finally be achieved and produce a cease-fire of at least six weeks. But the Biden administration must not put all its eggs in that basket. Again and again, Hamas has raised hopes that a deal is imminent only to dash them. Should no deal emerge in Egypt, the Biden administration should turn to the only realistic alternative: encouraging Israel to announce a unilateral cease-fire in Gaza of four to six weeks.

Such an Israeli decision may be the only way to create the conditions for an Israeli-Saudi normalization deal to advance. Of course, a unilateral cease-fire would be controversial in Israel, both because it de-links pausing the fighting in Gaza from the release of hostages and because it may seem to concede something to Hamas for nothing in return. But a unilateral cease-fire of four to six weeks would, in fact, offer Israel many strategic benefits with few material drawbacks. And in truth, if their negotiations with Hamas fail once again, Israeli leaders will need to adopt a different approach if they hope to get hostages released while some are still alive.

sazey,

Did you even read what you quoted? End of first paragraph mentions a 4-6 week ceasefire then segues straight into normalisation fantasies. It is almost assuming a temporary ceasefire will be a done deal, my point was why tf would Hamas go for something so stupid while they are holding trump cards?

fukhueson,

The article describes a hypothetical of Israel unilaterally ceasing fighting, not asking Hamas if that’s ok. It goes on to describe why this could be strategically beneficial.
