Ok, so what I did now (and I hope that fixes it) is change my supervisor config at /etc/supervisor/conf.d/kbin-messenger.conf
I had both services in there (doc) running under the kbin user, since the ubuntu user in the doc does not exist. I changed it to www-data
Since I've done that, I have not had any problems... We'll see
