thankfully not available right this moment. But man, available with a selection of switches and I am sorely tempted

the click buttons and the og layout (page up/down at arrow keys etc) …

and it's programmable, and I do like having keyboard macros.

I suppose a drawback is that you can't freely switch out the keycaps, as you need the special g/h/b ones …

they must be terrible at marketing though, because I've been looking for a replacement for mine for ages. (in advance, it's still working perfectly, but it's butt-old and not available anymore, and I'm scared of losing my keyboard)

available at the manufacturer with DHL Express, but I'd prefer to try it here, I'll wait

Reviews split on finding it great / cheapo:

  • Letters are printed and fade easily (upside for me, I prefer blanks lol), and also turn grey-ish over a couple of months
  • Case feels cheapish and noise (but sturdy), same for the ABS caps (this is repeated a lot, and not promising)
  • Not great re: pre-programming, not even the handy numlock block
  • Very good clit mouse
  • But terrible drifting
  • Clit mouse slow to wake over bluetooth
  • More key travel means it's easier to hit the mouse with movement

  • Left ctrl isn't larger as in the original
  • Custom-moulded caps, so you can't just exchange them
  • Mouse buttons are linear rather than clicky (ugh! I hate that. People install (included, at least!) o-rings to make it bearable)
  • You can swap ctrl/fn
  • Much higher travel distance, of course, wish they made it with low-profile switches
  • Switches feel a bit wobbly
  • No qmk/zmk

Apparently their Yoda was the better clitmouse kb, but it's sold out and also doesn't have the nice layout.

@rixx

I got a keychron Q11 yesterday & it's just lovely. Open source platform that uses VIA for config. I just need to work out how to code the macro keys.

Not ThinkPad related, but they do a range of German layout boards that might be worth a look

@markwalker if I ever go mechanical apart from this one, it'll be the Moonlander or another split one (but oh lord the cost)...

@rixx oh yeah that's what I was looking at originally but it looked like it was US import only so the costs would only go up on import duty.
Think I'll stick to switch and key cap customisation for now and there's a good chance that will keep me happy.
