I joined a year ago and it's crazy, i remember getting excited over 20 upvotes, that AMA and the whole 3rd party fiasco really brought a lot of people here!
Yeah, u/spez being a terrible CEO/person might be the best thing to happen to the fediverse. I tried Mastodon a few months ago but the community wasn't big enough to get me hooked. I joined Lemmy earlier this week and I really like the community that's developing here.
kbins android app auto rotates when i try to use it laying down on my side. this happens even when my general android settings are locked in vertical. so I'm just on firefox for now
I really hope that won't be the case. So far I like Lemmy and the vibe here a lot and am not afraid to comment somewhere which was the case on Reddit. I hope it stays that way, guess we'll see that after the blackout.
Maybe it’s just me but Mastodon seems still way friendlier than Twitter, I guess partly to do with the people but also the platform structure that seems to have less incentive to attack people. Hope it’s the same for Lemmy.
I jumped on a week ago. The change in that time has been totally insane! I went from being able to scroll for an hour maybe for the first few days, to now, it's developing into a full blown doom-scroll addiction.....
Burn it to the ground! I wish all top subreddits had the balls to go dark indefinitely to the point they have to backpedal or forcibly take over the subreddits. Burn it to the fucking ground!
