I find it very interesting what I'm listening to on my phone. So far, it's mostly a mix of Dreamcatcher, other K-Pop, and just...random other stuff. No real rhyme or reason.
This also lines up with songs that are on my "Top 15" of the moment songs I keep up with.
I am not resetting now, so this will continue out throughout the entire year to give me a view of what I listened to all year, as I did last year.
I think I'll circle back at the end of each month to see how this has changed / what was added!
We drove to visit my family at the start of February and we listened to a LOT of Fall Out Boy at that point. Leading to Fall Out Boy being the number one artist of the year, so far. Despite not cracking the Top 10 yet.
Number 13 on my most played songs of the year, to date, is Fall Out Boy's Centuries. So, they're climbing.
Just...this is interesting to me. Maybe not to anyone else, but to me.
So, apparently I had a LastFM account that I last used in...2009. It's wild how different of a human being I was in 2009.
I signed up for it again and logged into it on my phone so, hopefullly, for March 2024, I'll get some new, additional stats.

First, I tried LastFM - it hated my phone MP3 player and did not work right. It would record every single song multiple times. So, forget LastFM, at least for me.
With another month down, let's see how my Top 10 most listened to songs have changed.
April is about to end as May comes home tomorrow, so let's look at my most listened to tracks as it has updated this past month.

Once again, K-Pop is dominating what I am listening to offline, but T-Pain and Fall Out Boy cracked the Top 10 this month with Fall Out Boy remaining my #1 most listened to artist of the year.
Rising tracks since last month, as they remain in my Top 15 all April include Chung Ha's Eenie Meenie, YooA's Rooftop, and Bowling for Soup's Hello Anxiety.
Also, NMIXX's Run for Roses went from being 4th all year long to getting into 2nd place.
Honestly, deservedly. I still love that song. My favorite NMIXX song of all time.
Also, Solar / DJ Harry's "Paradise" - which was in my top, personal list since December 2022 has dropped off that list and out of my top 5 listened to spot for the first time in over a year.
@Mutedog It is. It doesn't help that when I listen to music online it's on desktop through YouTube and when I'm on mobile, the music app I use (Samsung Music, yes I'm basic) for my MP3s doesn't scrobble right with LastFM for some reason. It'll double, triple, or quadruple scrobble individual tracks and miss others. It was odd.
@Mutedog@mdmrn i did exactly that starting this year. set up last.fm on my phone and my tablet to track the 2 devices i play the most (offline) music from. curious what stats will come out of this.
@heyminto@Mutedog Interesting. I don't really know much about LastFM except that it exists. May look into it further. But, it can track what I'm playing on my device? Through my separate apps? Or do I have to play through it?
