A complete steal of a collection. 3LPs with the album, Peel sessions and Demos. I don't think the original album was meant to be in this as its not listed anywhere. It was £25 as well.
Got my Big|Brave vinyl for “A Chaos of Flowers,” my favorite record of 2024. It’s so beautiful.
The lyrics are quite powerful. They’re themed on the internal/external manifestations of marginalization. Five songs were written by female poets, all of whom were activists for women, people of color, and indigenous people: Emily Dickinson, Akiko Yosano, Renée Vivien, Esther Popel, and Tekahionwake (links in thread).
Click on that and you'll see all the posts. That's the key to Mastodon besides following lots of people: hashtags. Like #gratefuldead or #music or #vinyl. Each of those should be a link that takes you to posts with that hashtag. So add hashtags to your posts for people to see them.
To add them to existing posts, use Edit in the "..." menu on each post and just paste the hashtag in
BTW if you posted vinyl collection pics here with the #vinyl hashtag and maybe #music and whatever genre it is (like #blues#jazz etc), you could find some people, you have a good collection. For streaming links to go with vinyl pics I think YT links are preferred here to Spot, but whatever
there are def some dope musics posted here. You can actually follow hashtags too which is fun
always sounds to me like so much of 90s West Coast #HipHop tracks its sound and aesthetic to Roy Ayers. e.g., Dr Dre only sampled this track once, for a Detox track, but I can't help suspecting he took much more from it for his sound.
the "my life, my life, my life" tag was true Cali staple, used by Tupac, Ice Cube, Mc Eiht ("my life, my life, my life, with a tech nine").

I had an online friend who helped me to find some music and send to me.
Back in 2012 an 10" vinyl record was released under the price of $10USD or less. I asked her to buy it for me. Days later she told me she got the record and we planned to pay and then send it to me.
Suddenly she disappeared from all the Internet sites, I don't know why.
Now, that vinyl record can be found at the price from $75 to $120USD.
How I hate this so much... #VinylCollector#VinylRecords#Vinyl#MusicLover
#NowPlaying Wayne Shorter's precocious Blue Note debut, ably accompanied by Lee Morgan and Coltrane group alumni McCoy Tyner, Elvin Jones and Reggie Workman. No wonder Miles Davis snapped up Shorter for his legendary 2nd Great Quintet, which not only adopted his style, but also seemed to "communicate by mental telepathy" after his arrival. #jazz#vinyl#hardbop#modaljazz
Also been meaning to compare the album to the greatest hits of the same tracks.
It's very close in detail. The album version of Frozen on Ray Of Light seems a little darker and therefore some treble on the soundstage including the strings get muffled but honestly only if you're listening for it. At least it's not a cash grab digitally compressed rubbish like alot of Greatest hits are.

A monster album for me when I was in high school.
Being a total devotee of all things Sub Pop in the #90s , this one hit me in a way that none of the label’s other releases at the time.
I remember buying it on tape, & it taking me at least a week to get past the first 3 songs, because I kept rewinding it after Song For An Angel and playing those 3 over & over.
