Right on, you’re very welcome! I would highly recommend checking out Bluetech’s albums “Prima Materia” and “Sines and Singularities.” They’re my favorites of theirs.
Makes total sense. I’m a longtime Seeger fan. It’s just an excellent genre that I feel is often misrepresented by learning the most inane versions in grade school. They didn’t even teach us the really subversive parts of the one Woody Guthrie song we learned. It also doesn’t help that we weren’t really taught the background to it.
Ok I looked it up on Wikipedia and these are my people apparently. All the way down to Ohioans with banjos and a love of sci fi debauchery and anarchism. I’ve never been to a con, but as I see this I’d be shocked if I don’t know any filkers.
I swear, this is the best soundtrack to just fucking rocket yourself awake and get all yr shit done. Like clean yr entire house, including dusting and mopping in the, idk, 35 minutes that make up the entire album.
I did my entire senior project in one of those spans. Love Op Iv (who just dropped a new song a couple months ago!)
This song and “We Are All Compost in Training” get me going every time. I appreciate the upbeatness of this song in a genre that all so often is self deprecating.
