Yeah, I didn’t notice the date until after I had posted it, since I hadn’t heard about it and the post on Mastodon I got it from was posting like it was new, so I didn’t check. By then, folks had started commenting so I left it up. Ahh, well.
While WordPress sites are 30-40% of the internet… How many WordPress sites are still blogs that rely on sharing content using the default WordPress sharing features?
I’ve been in charge of hundreds of WP sites in my life and most are just regular business sites or if they’re e-commerce, they’re using some social share plugin.
Sometimes I think he was pissed at the jet tracker and being told off so much, he bought twitter to shut ot down. But dont want to make it look intentional so he doesn’t have a major labor lawsuit for putting everyone at twitter out of work.
