I think I’m going to lean into the FF E-mount world, which means giving up my D5300 + Nikon AF-S 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 VR (115 - 450 FF equivalent). Before kids, I used this lens for motorsports/landscape/travel. Post kids we don’t do a ton of that, so I’ve been getting along well with a pair of 35mm and 50mm primes....
So I’ve got a bit of color blindness going on (a bit blue and yellow, a bit more red and green (not to mention some colors are painful but that’s a different story lol)) and I had a question about editing pictures to show what different colorblindness looks like. My friends keep asking me how I see things and I’d love to...
I currently own two canon cameras, an EOS M10 i bought around 2017/2018 new for around £150 and a secondhand EOS 1300d i bought last week from a second hand electronics shop for £110 (body only, i already had lenses from an old EOS 200d)...
I recently did some freelance work and due to a misunderstanding of what would actually be delivered, I decided to draft up a short but written agreement for future clients....
I am easing back into the photography world after taking a hiatus due to kids. I’ve found myself carrying dedicated camera a lot more frequently than I have in the past (even before kids), which has resulted in me spending some time thinking about what the right camera for me is. I’ve “short-term-rented”, via...
A few years ago, I picked up a Canon Vixia HF R800 HD camcorder used off eBay for $200. I was tired of filling up my phone with long-form video recordings (family weddings, etc), and I liked having the large optical zoom....
I shoot on m4/3, so most of my filters are small. Most are 46mm, and the largest are 58mm. All the filter storage options are either large folding jobs that are long and wide, or are sort of stacked up but for large filters. I’d ideally like something like this, but for filters half the size....
I currently have an Adobe CC subscription that I would really like to end, so am looking for some advice or recommendations. I have been searching around but am struggling to find alternatives due to some fairly strict requirements....
I’m looking at getting into photography and I’m trying to decide on what camera would be best for me. One of the primary things I’m interested in is nature photography when I’m out on hikes....
I currently use Lightroom & Lightroom Classic for organization, but I often find myself wanting to work on large numbers of files, while also being cautious about clobbering links or files. In LR Classic, I can write Lua-based scripts / plugins, which I can do, but is (for me) slow to author and worrisome about quality. And I...
I want to take wildlife/outdoor photos recreationally. I don’t want to get frustrated by photo quality, but I also don’t want to spend more than I need to. That being said I’m willing to consider expensive equipment, but only if it benefits my needs. Does anyone have some canned recommendations?
Curious what everyone else is doing with all the files that are generated by photography as a hobby/interest/profession. What’s your working setup, how do you share with others, and how are you backing things up?
