There is no privacy with whatsapp. if you have to have it for the office, request a phone from the office. If they don't want to and you feel you have to cave in, get a cheap second hand phone with nothing on it an put it there.
I refused for years, my argument being that either it was so important for the office to be able to contact me any time that they should provide a phone for it. If it wasn't, there was no reason to use my private phone.
Worked for me 😉
